Abstract

This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of a work-based learning curriculum as implemented by the Panyapiwat Institute of Management in Thailand using Kirkpatrick’s model of training assessment. Five levels were highlighted namely reaction, learning, behavior, result, and return on investment. The research was principally a qualitative study that used documentary analysis as the method for gathering data and answering the research problems. Documents were analyzed, interpreted and validated by interviews of different stakeholders namely the alumni, the administrators, the faculty members, the present employers of the alumni, and the different heads of the offices. An enhanced model is presented to develop a more effective human capital in the business.
