Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • For the main document
    Page margin, paragraph indent and spacing, and font format have been set according to the AU eJournal of Interdisciplinary Research requirement.

    3. Portrait
    4. Margin top 1”, bottom 1”, left 0.8”, and right 0.75”
    5. Tabs stop 0.5” left
    6. Line space = single space (before 0 and after 0)
    7. Justified alignment
    8. Heading and Subheading: Times New Roman, Font Size in 12 size and Bold, 10. Main text: Times New Roman, Font Size in 10 size
    9. Table: Font in Times New Roman, Font Size in 8
    10. No heading and body style
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

Author Guidelines

AU eJournal of Interdisciplinary Researchl invites the submission of articles. 

In order to submit your paper, please send your manuscript and associated files in MS Word format through the submission system at the http://www.assumptionjournal.au.edu/index.php/eJIR/about/submissions. The author must register, Login and select menu “Make a new submission” at this page.

The author must submit two separate files following listed below in .DOC or .DOCX format:

  • Title page (with author details):This should include the title, authors' names, affiliations, acknowledgments, and any Declaration of Interest statement, and a complete address for the corresponding author including an e-mail address.
  • Main document (without author details):The main body of the paper (including the references, figures, tables, and any acknowledgments) should not include any identifying information, such as the authors' names or affiliations.

For the main document

  • Please set up Default Tabs stop 0.2 inch (0.5 cm) left for each paragraph for entire document, in Letter size (NO A4 size), Single line spacing, Justified alignment, Times New Roman font, 10 font size in the text
  • Please write your text in good English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of these).
  • No Footnotes, but Endnotes Acceptable: AU eJournal of Interdisciplinary Researchl does not accept Footnotes due to technical problems of online publication. Please convert all footnotes to endnotes, otherwise please incorporate all footnotes into text at its best.
  • Tables and Figures: Number tables consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text. Avoid vertical rules. Tables must be adjustable. Be sparing in the use of tables and ensure that the data presented in tables do not duplicate results described elsewhere in the article. A paper in the AU eJournal of Interdisciplinary Research from now on may include a maximum of eight (8) tables and figures in total.
  • If Tables/Figures are too large to be inserted or difficult to format in the body of the manuscript, please mark [Insert Table XX here] or [Insert Figure XX here] where appropriate, then provide the large tables/figures at the end of the document, after References and Appendix, if any.
  • Citation and Reference Style Guides: Per the AU eJournal of Interdisciplinary Research "Citation and Reference Style Guides" authors are expected to adhere to the guidelines of APA 7th edition (American Psychological Association). Please provide full information of publications complying with the APA reference style. Please ensure that every reference cited in text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa).
