CALL FOR PAPERS
SUSTAINABLE TOURISM & HOSPITALITY

We will publish original research work which focuses on one or more of the of the Sub-topics of our theme on sustainability. Work should be guided by, but is not limited to, the UN’s SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals : http://www.th.undp.org/content/thailand/en/home/sustainable-development-goals.html):

Sustainable Environment

To be sustainable, tourism must go hand in hand with nature and environment. Too often we have witnessed over-tourism and non-ecotourism resulting in unrepairable damage to the environment. We invite papers that address the issue of promoting tourism without harming nature or local cultures & communities, or better still, reversing the deterioration of the environment, to reviving and refreshing nature and the planet, the ultimate habitat of all species including mankind: ecotourism.

Sustainable societies and communities

Just like the other side of the coin, sustainable tourism is not only protecting the environment and eradicating environmental crises, but also bringing awareness and respect to local communities and cultures, leading to greater appreciation, and conservation of cultural heritages. It should provide positive experiences for both visitors and hosts, empowering local people of cities and communities, generate employment opportunities, etc. leading towards peace and sustainable planet.
