Journal History

Historical Background

Founded in 1980, the ABAC JOURNAL was the first academic journal of Assumption University, then called Assumption Business Administration College or ABAC, the first international university in Thailand. Later in 1990, the Institute was upgraded to be a university with its new name ‘Assumption University’ or AU. To retain the heritage of the University, we hereby proudly continue this journal as the ABAC JOURNAL. In addition, despite the University’s new name, the old name ‘ABAC’ is still widely used and has sentimental value among alumni and friends of AU.

The Journal offers an international platform for interdisciplinary discussion, based on current research and good practice in management and humanities.

The Journal is intended for a wide audience in the academic community.  In recent years, the Journal has focused on the publication of articles of interest in the impact of globalization and technology on management and the humanities.

The ABAC Journal is an international publication, a double-blind peer-review journal, currently publishing four times per year, in January, April, July, and October.
