THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN RELIGIONS AND CULTURES

Abstract

This paper will survey how Western philosophy turned almost from its beginning to the objective dimension, which it developed ever more intensively through much of its history; and second, to watch more closely the restoration of the dimension of subjectivity
and the way in which this in turn has most recently given new access
to the cultures of people. Thirdly it will look at the way in which the
history of religious awareness both undergirds this history of
philosophy, and manifests a parallel dynamic. In this light it will be
possible finally to analyze how the relation between religions and
cultures can be a key to an harmonious progress of peoples at a global
level and in South East Asia.
